The Journey from Business to Books:
While I remain fully engaged in a career I love as a senior leader at one of South Africa’s top banks, I’ve also discovered a creative outlet that allows me to give back in a different way. Writing Butterfly Wishes was never about leaving corporate behind—it was about extending my impact beyond the boardroom. This book was inspired by a very personal moment with my firstborn, and became a mission to help children navigate their emotions and build self-confidence from a young age.
Why I Write for Children:
Children are sponges, soaking in everything. What better way to shape mindsets and nurture confidence than through storytelling? My books aim to plant seeds of courage, creativity, and joy in young minds.
What Business Taught Me About Storytelling:
- Strategy matters: I write with an emotional arc and purpose.
- Branding is storytelling: My brand is built around connection and empowerment.
- Audience focus: I write for kids, but also for the parents, caregivers, and teachers who guide them.
Life doesn’t have to be one thing. I’m a businesswoman and a children’s author. Your purpose may pivot, but when it does, it will point you exactly where you’re meant to be.
